Webfonts were great when most computers only had a handful of good fonts pre-installed. Thanks to font creation and buying by Apple, Microsoft, Google, and other folks, most computers have good—no, great—fonts installed, and they're a great option if you want to not load a separate font.

Bedstead – MODE 7 for the 21st century

Bedstead is a family of outline fonts based on the characters produced by the Mullard SAA5050 series of Teletext Character Generators. The SAA5050 is familiar to those of a certain age as the chip that produced the MODE 7 display on the BBC Microcomputer.

Atkinson Hyperlegible Pro is an updated and extended version of the original typeface, which was initially designed for The Braille Institute and named after its founder, J. Robert Atkinson. It was specifically designed to improve character recognition and legibility for low-vision readers by incorporating distinctive and unambiguous letterform’s. The typeface was a Winner of Fast Company’s 2019 Innovation By Design Award.
